Tax and VAT
Lemon Squeezy is the seller, so it handles the tax.
Lemon Squeezy acts as your non-exclusive reseller and is the merchant of record. It calculates, collects and pays sales tax and VAT on each order and deducts it from your next payout, so you do not report sales tax on these sales.
- Prices can include tax or have it added on top, set for the whole store.
- It also handles refunds, chargebacks and card security as the seller.
- Each payout comes with a reverse invoice, so you do not invoice Lemon Squeezy.
- You still pay income tax on your payouts in your own country.

Your account
Lemon Squeezy pays in dollars, then converts.
Every order is charged in USD. What reaches your account depends on how you take the payout:
Keep USD to skip a conversion
A bank payout in a currency other than USD is converted at the mid-market rate. An account with US details receives dollars as they are.
Outside the US, bank beats PayPal
Bank payouts outside the US cost 1%; PayPal costs 3% up to $30, then PayPal's own conversion.
