Tax and VAT
Kajabi works out the tax. You file it.
Kajabi Sales Tax, built with Quaderno, calculates and collects sales tax at checkout for the jurisdictions you have registered in. Kajabi says plainly that it does not file or pay sales tax for you: you register with each tax authority, and file and pay what you collect.
- Only on Kajabi Payments, and only on offers where you turn it on.
- Kajabi warns you by email as your sales approach a tax threshold where you are not registered.
- Rates on subscriptions are recalculated before each charge.
- Kajabi is not the merchant of record, so EU and UK VAT on sales to consumers is yours to register for.

Your account
Kajabi pays to a bank in your business's country.
Kajabi Payments is open only to businesses registered in its 25 countries, and pays into bank accounts you link. Three points for choosing them:
One account per currency in Europe
A eurozone business can link up to seven bank accounts, one per currency, so dollars can be paid out as dollars instead of converted.
Conversion costs 1–2%
When a currency has no matching account, Kajabi converts it for 1% (US businesses) or 2% (UK).
Budget for tax filing
Kajabi collects the tax but does not file or pay it, so you need registrations and filings in each place you charge it.
