FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Does Clear Treasury give my business an account in its own name?

No. Balances sit in a pooled Clear Treasury Payment Account, funded by paying into Clear Treasury's own bank account with your reference. Payments go to your own bank or to your beneficiaries.

How far ahead can I fix a rate with Clear Treasury?

Clear Treasury's guide describes forward contracts for payments within the next 12 months. Its terms allow forwards only to pay for identifiable goods, services or direct investment, and it can ask for an initial margin and for more if the rate moves.

Is my money safeguarded with Clear Treasury?

Payment money is safeguarded, at a tier 1 bank for UK and non-EEA clients and by CurrencyCloud B.V. for EEA clients. Margin paid on forward contracts is not safeguarded, according to its terms.

One Finzil profile

Stop applying one provider at a time.

The usual route is to apply to each provider you find, then spend weeks going back and forth with its compliance team. Tell Finzil about your business once and start with the providers likely to say yes.
