Overview

Paybis, at a glance.

Paybis is a crypto-asset service provider and payment institution headquartered in Latvia, regulated by Bank of Latvia, FinCEN. Pricing is agreed with each client. Opening an account takes 3–5 days. Non-residents are accepted: owners and directors do not need to live in the country where the company is registered.

Paybis's terms say crypto held in its MPC custody stays the client's property and that Paybis is responsible for its custody under MiCA. It does not say how fiat balances on the virtual IBANs are safeguarded; they are not bank deposits.

Why businesses pick Paybis

  • No cards

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Is Paybis a bank?

No. SIA Paybis Europe holds two licences from the Bank of Latvia: a crypto-asset service provider authorisation under MiCA (27-55/2026/6) and a payment institution authorisation (27-55/2026/7). PAYBIS USA LTD is registered with FinCEN as a money services business.

Which countries does Paybis refuse?

Its terms exclude Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, India, Iran, Russia, the United States and 17 other countries, plus Louisiana, New York and disputed territories. Companies must not be owned or controlled from those places.

Does Paybis accept gambling businesses?

Only with Paybis's written agreement: its terms put gambling among licensed activities it serves only when expressly agreed. Its corporate help article lists nine refused industries, gambling not among them.

How much does the Paybis corporate account cost?

Paybis publishes no corporate price list. Fiat payments are from USD 1,000 to USD 5 million each, and Paybis says local rails in 25 fiat currencies carry no FX charge.
